Context:
In 2013, nature gifted the Vincon vineyards with this exceptional Fetească Neagră.
A deep ruby-red dry wine, bold and vibrant, with remarkable color intensity and unmatched strength. Its limited production makes it a true rarity.
This is the first harvest from Year 5 — the first year a young vine yields grapes worthy of vinification.
Harvested in the final decade of 2013, the wine was aged in oak barrels for 6 to 10 months, and bottled in a limited run of approximately 5,000 bottles.

The Brief / The Challenge
Vincon is set to launch a new brand — built from the ground up with a unique name and a fully original packaging concept — for a premium wine crafted from young vines bearing their very first fruit.
This is more than a product; it’s the beginning of a story. A brand that captures the essence of youth, vitality, and untapped potential — and expresses it through both design and naming with clarity, elegance, and purpose.
The Solution / Design Concept
Despite all the progress we’ve made, all the knowledge we’ve gained over the years, and all the mastery we've built across disciplines — nature still has a way of reminding us that, no matter how far we've come, she remains ahead. Superior. Sovereign. That is, in essence, the story behind this wine — named: Mirabilis Machina.
"Mirabilis" (Latin) — admirable, remarkable, extraordinary.
"Machina" (Latin) — machine, mechanism, intricate construct.
Together, Mirabilis Machina becomes “the marvelous machine” — a poetic metaphor for Nature herself. In this narrative, Nature is reimagined as a surreal mechanism, made of intricate components working in unison — an imaginary engine that transcends logic, inviting observation, curiosity, and wonder.
The label design draws inspiration from the steampunk aesthetic — a visual universe blending the mysterious with the mechanical, built on the bones of Victorian-era ingenuity. Mysterious at first glance, yet precisely constructed — just like the wine inside.
This packaging concept was awarded GOLD in the Packaging category at the FIBRA Awards, celebrating outstanding creative work in design and branding.
